Breeze Around The World

I’m here to share my itineraries, budgets, mistakes and on the ground experience to help you plan your next trip!
Hi there! My name is Bree and I’ve started this travel website to help you travel with ease!
Any time I even start to THINK about traveling to a new place I always start by doing a google search, shifting through the travel blogs, booking websites, reading reviews and browsing tripadvisor. I want to know what my options are so I can have the freedom to choose! To me, there is nothing worse than mismanaging my time in an area and realizing after the fact that there were a half dozen things I could have checked out. If you want to put me in a category, you could say I’m type A. Enter my partner: Nate. Nate is a phenomenal travel partner, he’s easy going and a quick thinker but certainly NOT a planner. Ergo we strike a balance. I love to dream up the framework for which we travel and he keeps me light on my toes and flexible, which I think is a pretty great combination.

Nate and I, he can’t help but make a face!
I’ve started ‘Breeze Around the World’ to help both planners and non planners alike get an idea of what traveling to an area will be like. Although I recon only the planners will read this. My travel style is particularly focused on being outside. I’m always looking for a beach to swim at, a trail to hike, a spot to stargaze and a bakery to relax at after. I love identifying animals that are new to me, learning from other travelers, finding hidden gems, making mistakes and likely doing it all on a budget. I’m here to share my itineraries, budgets, mistakes and on the ground intel to help you plan your next trip!

Staying warm in Sweden!
I won’t brag about all the places I’ve been. If I’m in a room full of nomads my “country list” is about as long as some people’s travel itineraries for the year. If I’m in a room of 9-5ers in the city then maybe the list makes me sound reputable. Either way I’m not complaining. I’m incredibly thankful for the travel I’ve been able to make happen. Being from the U.S. I can proudly claim that yeah, I’ve been there. I’ve also been to Canada. Score! I’ve travelled outside North America too, so don’t worry. I’ve been to Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Chile, Holland, Sweden, Australia and New Zealand since I started prioritizing travel in 2020 (bad timing lol).

My real, current claim to fame, however, is that my partner and I are living as expats in Nelson, New Zealand. I didn’t even know what an expat was until the week we moved here. If you don’t know either, don’t fret, it’s just the word for people who live and work outside their country of citizenship. Through trial and error I have learned how to set up a bank account, buy a car, wire money and find a job here in New Zealand. Our primary goal, however, is not to become established adults with bank accounts but to travel and explore as much of New Zealand as possible during the one year visa. That’s why I’m sharing my city and hiking guides, road trip itineraries, expat advice and general musings all in one handy place… this website!
So I hope you stick around, feel inspired and learn something new!
